Le Maitre Provide Effects For Eason Chan’s Sell Out O2 Performance

Hong Kong pop singer Eason Chan has become the first Chinese performer to play London’s O2 arena, with his “DUO” concert selling out in 20 minutes to 12,000 fans.

Chan’s DUO World Tour began in September 2010 in Singapore and has continued across Australia, Asia, Canada and the United States, and has an unofficial slogan: “Who the hell is Eason Chan?”

Le Maitre Events provided an endless display of snow, bubbles, confetti, streamers, glitter and gerbs for the performance.

This was his second appearance on a London stage after performing at the Royal Albert Hall in 2010 at which Le Maitre Events also fired the pyro. As well as singing, Chan is well known in Hong Kong as a film star, having been nominated for the Hong Kong Golden Horse Awards and the Hong Kong Film Awards.

Titanic 3D, Royal Albert Hall Premiere - Flambeaux

March 27th saw the re-release of James Cameron’s film Titanic, fifteen years on from the first premiere, but this time in 3D.The movie will be released worldwide on April 6.

Both James Cameron and actress Kate Winslet were at the premiere, along with Le Maitre’s Flambeaux which did a fabulous job of lining the red carpet up to the Royal Albert Hall.

The film is being re-released almost exactly 100 years after the real Titanic set sail on April 14th 1912. The passenger liner struck an iceberg on its way from Southampton to New York. It sank less than three hours later, killing 1,517 people.

The UK Film Premiere of ‘The Hunger Games ‘ took place at Cineworld, O2 Arena, London where stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Gary Ross attended, drawing in hundreds of fans.

The Hunger Games is set in a future where teenagers are selected to fight to the death on live television.

Le Maitre’s Flambeaux lined the red carpet for the evening.

The opening of the new seven storey Ramada Encore in Leicester was celebrated by members of staff and over 100 special guests.

Following a champagne reception, the hotel was officially opened by Miss England with a magnificent pyrotechnics display by Le Maitre Events.

The venue has been selected as the host hotel for the next Miss England finals this summer, taking place at Athena that is located just minutes from the hotel.

Le Maitre Events were once again responsible for the special effects at this year’s BBC Sports Personality Of The Year. 1×20 Gerbs, 20×20 Gerbs, Low Smoke and Chameleons were fired throughout, and as world road race champion and Tour de France green jersey winner Mark Cavendish stood up to collect the winner’s trophy, Le Maitre’s Silver Glittershowered down.
