HAZERS IN TOMB BLASTER (JUL 02)

The latest ride opened at Chessington World of Adventures is the spectacular Tomb Blaster experience designed by Tussauds Studios. It uses themed animation, sound and lighting to create a fantastic interactive 3D experience where adventurers embark on a mission to rid the ancient Egyptian tomb from a curse of deadly scarabs using lasers to shoot at a series of LED targets.

The Neutron XS Hazers produce a constant and steady haze enabling the laser beams from the guns to be seen in the dark. The haze also creates a surreal and exciting atmosphere and helps to highlight the UV painted scenes.

Tim Coucher from Tussauds Studios explained why the Neutron XS Hazer was the ideal unit for the ride… “One of the most important factors in our selection criteria was the efficient use of fluid plus an integral purging system – the Starhazer won on both counts.” He went on to explain how the output of the Neutron XS was so impressive that the original 7 units in the design were reduced to just 5.
